A Great Disappointment

I went to Kowloon Hotel - Window Cafe - last Monday by mistake. It should be today.

Then I had a meeting which lasted from 2:45 pm to 9:00 pm. One hour for other business for the Chairman and 15 minutes for short break.

My friends kept on calling me but my mobile was left in my office. When I retrieved it after 7:00 pm, there were so many missed calls already.

I told my friends I would be there by 8:00 pm. However, the meeting finished at 9:00 pm. They had checked the bill already. Hence, I had to go home and take my dinner before 10:00 pm.

To whine about our woes merely focuses our attention on them and, it seems, actually increases our pain because we become so conscious of it. We have so many better choices for greater wholeness.

There are exercises and other natural pain relievers, like meeting friends, smelling the flowers along the way in a park and noticing the progression of the seasons. Warm baths, movies, books, chicken soup, massages and sleeping.
