a rainy Sunday

Pingpong at Victoria Park. It rained heavily after we had finished. As I forgot to bring an umbrella, both Marga & I got all wet under her tiny one.

We bought beef brisket in Causeway Bay - the storage shop.

Min joined me for lunch at Times Square. It is so amusing to hear her talk about her school life in UK.

Golden Finch Restaurant - so old-fashioned - back to 60s. We had toast with butter & syrup and also shrimps on toast. It was leisure time.

Seemingly, I have caught a cold. Not Swine Flu, I hope.

Michael Jackson & Farrah Fawcett died in LA

A dancer with the fanciest feet on the street. A singer with unspeakable charm. What he had and what he lost?

The blond Charlie's Angel.

One heart attack & one cancer.

Life is but this minute and today.

Dinner with families in APM.

Murphy's Law

Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong (or, whatever can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time, in the worst possible way).

Accidents happen - but dealing with the results needs planning & determination.

No thrillers, but hard reality. Crisis in all its forms. That is the excitement & value of life.

How prepared you are?

How lucky you are?

How wise you are?

a black white blue top & a black skirt

2 meetings in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

Lunch at Wanchai with the usual group. Dinner with AVA & Min.

Min went to to Dr Tong and Dr Wong.

Irene gave me a a small bottle of black truffle honey from Italy. Aromatic.

Ersha Island

Min is home. She cried when she first arrived Bethany. She cried again when she left it. It has been a very gainful journey for this young lady.

I fetched her from the Airport.

We will have some very enjoyable time together.

Irene came back from Berlin, Germany. She likes my present of the pair of wooden paper weight with orchids engraved. She had been to Ersha Island as well. She noted the landed properties there were very expensive.

presumption and mental block

I was looking for a wall charger, presumably a black plug with a cord at the other end. I did not look up the manual though it is available in the box. I picked up a plug without cord on the desk without reading its brand to be Samsung. So I spent 2 days panicking. At last, I realize the panic was so unnecessary.

Wasted efforts, winding roads. All these form a substantial part of our daily lives.

Luckily, I have had an enjoyable lunch with grilled sole, crab cakes & calamari. Delicious food is one of the best compensation for my wear & tear.

I visited Anis in the early morning. Sweetie!

sleepy Monday

I am sleepy.

I like the new set of forks and knives, soup spoons & tea spoons.

Do lacy wears make a woman look very feminine?

7 yellow roses + 1 solitaire orange rose bring along happiness on a rainy day or a sunny day.

breakfast with roses

Egg mayonnaise sandwich, cornflakes with banana chunks and milk, lipton tea with sugar & milk. Small pieces of tomatoes only. Otherwise, it will turn watery.

Rainy day.

Pingpong. Marga goes to Hainan with Pau and will return on Wednesday. AVA will go to Hainan too tomorrow and return on Thursday. Lunch with Porpor and Mike's family at APM.

Dissatisfaction. Perhaps, I should start with no expectation and no commitment. Life should be easier. Indifference & coolness must be the best tonic for a burnt child.

Dinner upstairs.

Pa liked the fried rice I bought for him. Papa, I love you. Father's Day is for other people. Everyday is from me to you.

CATS

Not much a story. The only song I like is "Memory". However, they are great dancers.

who wins & who loses?

Life is a journey with no preview. That is what makes life so interesting and what carries us through the hours of darkness. There is always a tomorrow to look for.

I do not know where and when it ends and how should I gauge my own wins and losses. So, simply enjoy the scenery as I get along.

Cold & heat, rain & dryness, flowers or no flowers .........

Fish Bar

Grilled sole with chips. Mussels in white wine sauce.

AVA have gone to Macau. So I will have supper by myself at home.

Min is tense having examinations and leaving Bethany. Another phase of life to face.

busy monday

Work work work.

AVA dined out. So I slept at 9:30 pm after supper home alone. Feeling much better after the night's repair.

a breakfast with roses

7 yellow & 1 red.

Eggwhite omlette (spa omlette) with German sausage, bread & butter & Lipton tea. So gratifying to start a day & a week.

Pingpong.

Mj at Miranda's place. The Yung couple had a row over the game.

I enjoy more and more the brisk walk in Sai Tso Wan.

A beautiful garden in Kent

We all need to keep a beautiful garden in our hearts. To breathe the fresh air, to smell the scent, to view the colours and to stay away from the mad mad crowd.

you look radiant

Meeting in the morning - 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Meeting in the afternoon - 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Very taxing. Miscellaneous items in between.

How can one look radiant after the toil if love is not in abundance.

June 4

20 years have passed. All the memories in 1989.

computers

Computers are very expensive tools & toys. Most of the time, I like them. When they are out of functions, I find them annoying. Nowadays, they are indispensable. So, when they are not working, they cause great anxieties. GREATEST anxieties for people like me, who use them but do not know how to fix them when they are out of order.

Talked to Min this early morning. She sounded more relaxed than before. I praised her for her improvements made these 2 years. She replied, "Mom, I always reserve huge room for my own improvements to be made." :)
