tai tong

Agnes was missing. We could have more fun, otherwise. Anyway, we had fresh air and some exercises. Food was not worth mentioning.

Linda Ronstdat. Many oldies. Wonderful songs that bring me back to my younger days. Radio is a great invention. It is my good companion ever since Van got married and Min went back to study in UK.

Music, news, talks & weather reports....... It gives me information without judgment. I can turn it off any time I am tired or find it not agreeable. It is portable and either stays on the table or in my bed next to my pillow. Not taking up much space. It has a variety of programmes. 24 hours x 7 days. Economical. It will not betray me or irritate me or cheat me.

Back to work again tomorrow. Thank God I have a secure employment.

Van wears the Nike tee I bought for her.

Min sent along 3 photos.

taikoo place

Dr Hon at Mongkok.

Had lunch with Ella at Taikoo Place. Then, we went to Mrs Chan's boutique at North Point. I bought a beige coat.

Had latte & blue berry muffin at McCafe. Flora.

A pink robe and a black Nike Tee for Van.

Dinner at home.

Bangkok is horrible. Bombay is chaotic. Where is a place without disasters? Acts of God or human errors?

Heaven!

taiji class again

Taiji class again. For the last course, I only attended 2 lessons. Try the new course today. Really enjoyed it. So relaxing. My body & soul. In the group of Hui, Estella, Li, Hing & Josephine. Even Lina. Felt great.

Agnes dined at my home. She brought along 2 lamingtons and one piece of choco log cake and one piece of blueberry cheese cake. She is a Canadian Chinese and westernized.

We chatted & chatted.

Loletta Chu remarried. Proposal is an honour a man pays to a woman and marriage is a commitment by both. Wedding is a ceremony and marriage is a lifelong venture.

Free lunch at Lippo. There is free lunch in this world.

Bombay massacre and Bangkok Airport still in chaos.

Nick Vujicic

How could you? Born without limbs and yet you stand tall with a warm smile and talk with a contented tone.

I cried when I first saw the clip from YOUtube.

Difficult to pronounce his surname though I repeatedly listened to his own introduction. From Melbourne.

How could you feel so blessed and have deep faith and love in such a condition?

You still have a dream of having arms and legs one morning when you wake up.

Father a pastor.

God's plan is beyond our understanding. We just live through it with the best of our might and enjoy the process. It is so touching that a cruel story turns into a testimony of Gospel.

my hair is turning white!

What is a youth? Impetuous fire. What is a maid? ......... Romeo & Juliet!

How is Elizabeth Taylor now? A beauty growing old. What a difficult life process.

I resist chemicals for my hair. Perm & colour treatment. But, can I do without them? NO.

Pau said after his admission into hospital and for a stay of few nights, he is now closer to the helplessness of old age & sickness. We should enjoy life while we can.

The man without limbs has visited HK. Nick.

Irene & Joycelyn were so kind that they came over to have a walk with Van in Sai Tso Wan Playground.

I took a walk downstairs in the garden. Nice plants. Clean place. Quiet surroundings. That is a re-winding after a day's hard work. I mean it. It is hard work - taxing on my body & soul.

I must treat myself with the greatest love & care. No other recipe.

coco de mer

How could one be so knowledgeable?

Coco de mer produced in Seychelles. Say-shelles, not See-shelles.

Admirable.

J & K & I had lunch at L16, Hong Kong Park. I liked the pomelo salad most. Beef in yellow curry quite tough.

Tiring tiring work schedules. SOS!

I must remind myself not to do irrational purchases. Terribly enticing!

orange cashmere twinset

Sales everywhere.

Lunch at Lippo.

Weather is getting cooler by the end of this week.

I ate a bowl of Haagen-Dazs mango & passion fruits ice-cream after dinner.

consultate of seychelles

Never heard! It consists of 115 isalnds. Half of the pople are illiterate. The President is elected for a 5-year term. What do they do in HK? So funny.

Pingpong. Xiao Nan Guo, TST East for lunch. Haven of Hope to visit Papa. He enjoyed the rice box. He is a survivor.

APM for shampoo and pedicure.

Dinner at KT.

Fairly has arrived.

Min has bought a toy skate board. She is jovial.

Bowen Drive & Bowen Road

We had lunch at Wu Kong, TST. Knuckles in wine sauce are delicious.

There was a swimming pool at St Paul's Co-ed just opposite St Joseph's College.

A walk in the evening along Bowen Drive, Bowen Road, then Hopewell Centre and back to Kennedy Road. It was the first time I saw the "Love Rock". It did not bring magic to me years ago. Dined there.

Spaghetti, linguine with tomato/herb sauce, anchovy and garlic French bread and Parma ham.

Hagan Daz ice-cream is forever delicious.

Talked to Min over IDD. She was in Harrod's London with 3 Chinese and 2 English boys. The 2 English boys were not fond of the dim sum at China Town especially the chicken feet. She told me so. They must find them scary.

QEH - room for 2

Shanghai Garden at Hutchison House was the only restaurant we could find a table in the vicinity.

It is the first time I visited the 2nd class room in QEH. There is a private bath & toilet for 2 to share and a LCD TV hung over the wall.

G is getting well. Birth, old age, illness & death - no one is spared.

We 3 had dinner at Hillwood Road for Vietnamese food.

What should I do tomorrow?

Agnes has come back from Italy

She brought me a mug. I like it very much. I am fond of pretty cups/saucers and mugs.

Met J & S and had lunch at Man Ho Chinese Restaurant.

What had happened? I did not ask. The chemistry amongst people is a mystery. Timing is an essence. Conflict of interest is a cause anyway.

Cippino shared with B at Dan Ryan after work.

I will visit G tomorrow evening.

Pa is staying in Haven of Hope.

I am listening to the radio programme by Mak Yun-sau. He is so popular. Many children like him.

Min plays football. She does not have the saucer boots but only common trainers. She seems to have fun.

If others get devilish, I pray that I have the strength to retain my integrity without turning mean. That is difficult. Why should I? Coz I am tall!

not sufficienty loved

In want of love & care.

In want of rest & leisure.

In want of peace and security.

In want of a Master bedroom or an extra toilet in the flat.

In want of faith in God.

I lost $300 in mj game last Friday. But I have had a free lunch yesterday. Yummy.

Sterling pound has gone down to HK$11.60 today. In July, when I paid for Min's autumn term, it was nearly $16.00.

The drama was called "Crazy for her".

Wow!

ppl are fired & flicka has died

Flicka has died. Poor dog. She ran out of the house. She was knocked down by a car. Sent to a vet for 3-4 days. After scanning, it was suggested she should be put to sleep by an injection. Maryjane & Tony accompanied her for the last day. She should not feel abandoned.

Pam did not tell Min. She knows Min is so fond of her. Every time she went to stay there, they played. I met her once. I feel uncomfortable, too. Ever since the first time Min saw Flicka, they liked each other. Ruby and Isabelle eye-witnessed the knock down when John brought them back after the weekend access.

Pau has been discharged this morning. Maggie has returned from Hokkaido. G will go to the hospital tomorrow and undergo an operation on Thursday.

I have bought 4 tickets for the drama. Ella has broguht tickets for "Brothers 4" in Convention Centre.

Both Micky and Laoshi will come to give Min tuition.

Min will be having a tour in NY in February.

why is he so bad-mouthed?

Age, schooling, illness and what knot do not mature him in any way. Chu accepts him and thinks there is nothing serious and nothing goes wrong. All bad guys get supporters. Birds of the same feather?

Somtimes, our kindness, generosity and forgiveness do not bring along any return. I wonder whether we are taken as cowardly, foolish, timid or .........deserving insults and disrespect coz we never hit back. When we protest or feel offended, we are criticized as not having right EQ, narrow-minded .........

I pray that I would meet more beautiful people.

Pau got the 2nd test on his stomach + blood-tests etc. Likely that he would go home tomorrow. Good news. Really happy to learn that. I visited him in QEH. I bought a pair of Scholl in Yue Wah. Porpor has not been shopping there for over 10 years.

I have to stay away from the nasty, foul-mouthed & annoying small characters in this world. As much as possible. To be exact, I should keep away from such negative folks. R never gives a damn to these guys. It seems they dare not irritate him. My friendliness is treated as weakness.

Ella proposed to see "Brothers 4". See if she can buy some tickets tomorrow.

I had an enjoyable seminar this afternoon in Central Library. Shum Yat-fei talked on Hanfeiji's Management Wisdom. I met Lam & James.

charity walk and charity concert

The usual group to walk at Tai Tam Reservoir.

Concert at HK Cultural Centre at night. I do not know anything about classical music. A difficult subject.

Pau has to stay in the hospital for further tests. Keep fingers crossed.

Tsuen Wan Adventist Hosp & QEH

I had lunch with Van & A at Causeway Bay. Everything was fine.

In one afternoon, I visited Lucy with Estella in Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospital and then I visted Pau in QEH. Dinner with Marga. The mock chicken and mock abalone in the Vegetarian Shop at Jordan Road seemed to be popular. But we would prefer the fungus and mushroom and fresh tofo next time.

Flowers and Winnie the Pooh for Lucy. She looked alright.

We are all worried by Pau. Just hoping for the best. Stress kills.

IDD Min. She stayed in school to do homework instead of going to Maidstone. She has selected Portsmouth instead of Hull upon our advice and kicked away Sterling which is in Scotland - too cold, too distant and with an accent strange to her.

farewell Ko

So Ko has served for 39 years. He had received the awards and we had a farewell dinner.

Time flies. Time flies. We all grow old if we had not died young.

Min is busy.

I will visit Lucy in the afternoon with Estella.

Adam's wedding banquet

He married Judy at last. The Kimberley Hotel. Met old folks. Lots of silly talks. Very entertaining. He drank a lot.

Usual lunch at Jaffe Road, Wanchai. A friendly group. Very comfortable company. Agnes is enjoying her cruise. So nice. Not sure whether I would enjoy one.

Simon said I am his idol. Hahaha! Sounds funny. Many of his customers are suffering from the credit crunch.

Should I go the show of Chan Po-chu?

marga is back

Sunday - played pingpong. But I will be walking for the charity next Sunday, I will skip it and also on the 30 coz of fun day.

Marga tried on the hematite bracelet. A bit too long. I asked Ah Yee to remove 3 pcs from it and made a pendant with a silver grey necklace.

Had lunch with JB at California. She is a sunny character.

Talked to Min & Pam last evening. UCAS discussed.

Dinner with A & Van. The financial turmoil is going to adversely affect many families.

racial discrimination

On Friday, I attended a seminar on the topic of racial discrimination in Quarry Bay. Lots of issues to be considered as when the new laws are introduced.

Saturday - I got the Sogo card from BOC. Went to Kingsui's place. She bought some very expensive seafood from Wanchai market: star garoupa, geoduck, shrimps and crabs with roes. A big breakfast/brunch - we all refused to have any more food before 7 pm. Christina likes Coke so much that she in any event took a bottle. We had some potato chips and cheese tit-bits. A naughty weekend for women who are terribly conscious of calories and junk food etc. Slimness dominates the minds of thousands.

I WON! How seldom! HK$1,500. Even at the last 2 games - I got the only tile remaining and won.

I am going to play pingpong with Marga. She only returned last evening from Xian. Sounded cheerful. Lorraine & Jerry like the new look of Min. She is dealing with the UCAS stuff. I am not in a position to help in any way. The most I could offer is the school fees + boarding fees for 3 years if she succeeds.

Kingsui got a medal from CE as recommended by her Department. How great!

Obama won as expected

His wife is Michelle Robinson. His elder daughter Malia Ann and younger daughter Natasha (Sasha).

McCain is a man of integrity but old and conventional. His partner is the terrible Sarah Palin, a commonplace stupid see lai.

See what change and how good the change will bring about.

Much regret that Obama's granny died one day before his winning is announced.

On Tuesday, we had dinner at Lian, IFC. Celebration of M's birthday.

4 days just passed so quickly ever since my return from Singapore.

Must earn more money for more pleasure trips.
