Saturday - boat trip around SaiKung with A's family. They are a group of decent and happy guys. Uncle Thomas + wife + daughter and Uncle Anthony + wife + daughter.

They are very active - swimming and rowing boats. Porpor, Min & I slept. So comfortable to sleep with sea breezes around you.

Sunday - pingpong. Sogo, Eugene Centre and Prince's Building.

Dinner at KT.

I bought a box of Vita Calm for Porpor. See if it can improve her sleep.

Min is still waiting for greater progress after her surgery.

His father is William Lloyd Webber and his brother Julian Lloyd Webber. Started composing at the age of 7. Now 60. His company is called Really Useful Group. So interesting.

Min was fascinated by Fei Xiang, Kris Phillips. Sandy Lam must be greatly honoured. Elaine Paige is not young. But foreigners have room for talents, even when they are aged. HK people are more cruel on aging woman artists.

Hou Laoshi came last night. She looks more or less the same after so many years.

Corcoran is another Irish I am fond of. The first Irish I admired is Sr Catherine Sheehan, my class mistress in F.3. Where is she now? We called her Fat Cat. She has rosy cheeks and a sweet sweet voice. She gave me stamps after class. She always remained cheerful. There was a younger Sr Kathleen in my primary 6. But she was more detached. Was she Irish, too?

There were 3 Philipino sisters who taught me: Sr Aida (stern), Sr Celine (stern) & Sr Yolanda (mild).

For the recent 15 years, I have Philippino maids instead.

A & Van came to dinner. Porpor stayed for a while after her visiting Gungung in UCH.

I had some wonton in chicken soup in Jade la mian. Went to see "Get Smart" at IFC. First time seeing movie there. 15% discount by AE platinum.

She could take rice with panfried sole in Delifrance. Happy to see her eat though clumsily.

Porpor went to Ah Kam.

Pam sent over 2 DVDs. Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen. Real English.

Saturday - We had waited for so long for this gathering.

Pan-fried Shanghai wonton + cheese cake and ground coffee. She has got a set of fine China cup & saucer.

Dinner :- chicken soup with abalone, ham and cabbages; beef brisket + radish in soup; lotus root cakes; choysum.

Fruit: grapes and pears.

Dessert: freshly ground almond cream

Could not ask for more.

Helen & I had cashmere wraps of same pattern except that hers is white & mine is beige.

I won. Haha! How rare!

Sunday - pingpong in the morning. I ate a bowl of noodles with beef brisket and a bowl of radish by myself.

In the afternoon, Kevin drove us to Sai Kung and had tea in Freezer. We bought seafood from a fishing boat down the quay.

Dinner at Porpor's home. I left with her the 2 albums with wedding photos.

Min's condition is improving. I will bring her to Dr Lui tmr morning to check up again.

Min & I went to APM to see a movie "la lingerie". All other shops were closed.

Robin is still staying in Tokyo. He cannot have convenience to watch Beijing Olympics as Japan broadcast is very limited. Poor guy.

Van could not come over to dinner as planned.

Min asked me to buy a VCD for her. At last, I bought a DVD.

Senses have not come back in the middle of her chin. Right side of her face is still swollen. Bruises are dying down a bit.

Pam is nice. I have picked the right guardian.

Min likes mashed potatoes: 2 boiled potatoes, soft & mashed, add in President unsalted butter and President French butter with sea salt grains or Lurpak spreadable soft butter + coarse ground black peppers. Van is cooking a lot. Practice makes perfect.

Custard tarts. Dorey promised to provide her some soft diet upon her return for 2-3 weeks. She can make requests to the canteen manager. Very caring.

Dried fish maw are better stewed or cooked in soup? The white ones are more expensive than the yellow ones.

One side of her face gets less swollen.

Michael Phelps was diagnosed to be suffering from attention deficit and hyperactive syndrome in primary school.

Now here he is, on the stage of the world, winning gold medals one after the other.

He loves his mother. Mothers are great.

Min is having good progress. Porpor, Van & A all visited her in the noon session. We had lunch afterwards.

We shopped around in Wing On Plus. Souffle at Tai Ping Koon for tea.

Charmaine went to visit Min with a bunch of flowers. Pam's bunch was already there. So I brought back hers home.

Beijing Olympics - amazing

Min & I had a very sweet weekend in the Venetian Macao. She has reached 18 and could be admitted into the casino.

It is a Taipa Ferry Pier. The suite was very luxurious. Nice to have an exclusive time of mother & child. We had some Portugese food in the Dumbo Restaurant & brought home some snacks/titbits.

Karin will fly to US today to study.

Lorraine's birthday

Min & I went to APM in the evening & bought several books for casual reading. She likes reading as much as her Mom.

No work for the whole day - Wednesday.

I have booked a room in the Venetian so that Min & I can have a relaxed weekend. We do not go to trip for the summer vacation. She will be admitted to hospital on 14th and operation on 15th. Quite tense.

Bought 6 tickets re Wong Chee-wah's standup talk show in September. But that time,. Min should have recovered but still in HK.

Ar said I am a very filial mom. I agree. Who would love them, if not me?

Karin got her school cert results already. She will go to study in US soon.

Sunday - pingpong. Coach was fed up with queue-up to book the room. Stupid arrangement for free during these 3 months. She had to wake up at 5 pm.

I went to Sogo to purchase with the gfit certs Van gave me. A black tote bag & 2 twin sets.

A Very Happy Friday

Dinner at home with Nita. I went to shop in Festival Walk - Bally, K & C, Taste and Fortress. I bought a pair of fixed line + cordless phones for home. Sale everywhere. I could have gone broke.

Today, business ran smooth. An enjoyable lunch. No count on the gold card. The competition amongst hotels must be terribly keen.

A dinner with hearty laughters. We talked about the old days, the people we know and so funny everything turns as the company is loving. When I am awful, they forgive me. When I am stupid, they render assistance. When I am nice, they welcome me. Of course, I do the same to them.

Hou Laoshi came for putonghua tuition for Min. She likes the lessons very very much.
