north-eastern provinces

Harbin, Changchun, Shenyang, Jilin, Chang Bai Shan, Jilin, Harbin.

Tian Chi must be close to Heaven. So amazing!

Free internet everywhere. Beautiful scenaries. Historical spots. Highway. Very good vehicles. Resouces abundant.

Impolite people - they push, they jump queue, they dont say "sorry" nor "thank you". They smoke and spit. Awful toilets and some are more aweful than the others; oily & salty food. Unpredictable standard of services & provisions. Dirty basins & toilet bowls found in the so-called best hotel in Jilin.

I remain vegetarian whenever I am in Mainland as I am so suspicious about the meats there. Why not? I saw restaurants selling dog meat, donkey meat and silk cocoons. Horse meat. Enough. Sausages that look pretty dull. Cakes with funny colourings.

We have been lucky. We were able to see Tian Chi. Harbin was like a fireplace before we backtracked, it downpoured in midnight when we stayed in Volga Manor. A natural cooler.

The whole group of senior citizens except a few young men who came with parents.

Despite all said, I enjoyed the 8 days & 7 nights.
